Why Saturday?
The reason why WTTRSaturday chose to promote Saturday, October 30th, 2010 and November 6th, 2010, is because Friday and Saturday are the days weekend box office estimates are based on. Sunday counts, but for perception and reporting, Friday and Saturday are the key days. Most people go see movies on Friday. Which is fine, but we are encouraging fans to see it a second time. That's why Saturday, October 30th, and November 6th, are the days chosen to hold this fan campaign and try to make a difference with box office receipts.

Melissa Leo will headline “Collective Unconscious" to benefit the Rosendale Theatre Collective In New York
By Paula Ann Mitchell
Daily Freeman
Stars in your eyes, a tickle in your belly and a tune in your soul.
That is what you’ll see, feel and hear if you head out to the Rosendale Theatre, at 408 Main St. in Rosendale, for tonight’s dazzling performance of “Collective Unconscious.”
In fact, it might be prudent to cancel whatever plans you have because you won’t find a lineup like this for some time to come.
Headlined by Academy Award nominee Melissa Leo, “Collective Unconscious” is being billed as a “rollicking” variety show. It will be Leo’s first appearance in the Hudson Valley since receiving the 2009 Oscar nomination for her role in “Frozen River.”
Expect to see her share the stage with Broadway sensation Lori Wilner. Together, the two will perform in short comic plays and poetry readings that Leo prefers to keep as a surprise.
Also entertaining will be locally famed comedic musicians Mikhail Horowitz and Gilles Malkine.
It’s all to benefit the Rosendale Theatre Collective, which just received nonprofit status. The group is looking to buy the 300-seat, single screen movie house from the Cacchio family and to preserve and enhance it. The collective is getting close to the $160,000 needed to secure the mortgage.
Nicole Quinn, the producer of the show, said there’s just no better bargain around at just $20 a ticket.
